Ask and Ye Shall Recieve (App Management in iTunes)

Image
Apple has introduced a way to arrange apps within iTunes! App Managemet!. Scroll down 3 posts and you'll see where they got the idea. ;)

An iPhone Function I Would LOVE To See (or Application Organization Application)

Image
Now that I am up to six pages of apps I honestly need a better way to organize them than doing it on the phone itself. Using the iPhone to organize it's apps is like sorting the contents of six boxes. But you can only uncover one box at a time. AND any item moved must pass through all boxes between it's current box and it's final box. Geeze! Even explaining it is frustrating. Why cant I just have a nice drag and drop method within iTunes... like I have mocked up in the above image (click for larger.) By the way No. 7 on this list helps the process, but not very much.

Star Trek Movie? Sure Why Not.

Image
photo courtesy of trekcore.com I am going to see the movie tonight or tomorrow. Just wanted to give props to some heroes before I did. I do so with the above picture of Bill and Leonard (obviously NOT Kirk and Spock.) As well as the two Roddenberry quotes I most agree with: "No, ancient astronauts did not build the pyramids— human beings built them, because they're clever and they work hard." "Why should a man give up the joy of ham and eggs if the technology will allow it?" THUMBS UP. More action than I prefer in a sci-fi movie, but then most people like that.

Expect A Lot More Mac-Ups

It looks like one of the things I adore about Apple products has come back to bite me in the arse. Simplicity of design. The iPhone is the epitome of simplicity. Turn it off and you’ve got an onyx slab with a chrome rim. This simplicity of design has made it possible for every Tom, Dick and Harry (with Photoshop, "The Gimp" or MS Paint) to be able to do a “mock-up” of an Apple product with little to no effort. With that in mind I have done a “Mac-Up” of the iSwitch.
